Instructions to connect to the IPv6 video streaming server

 
 

1.- First of all, you must have IPv6 connectivity. (*)

2.- Download and install the Windows Media Player 9 Series from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx

It is available for Windows XP and Windows 2000 platforms.

3.- Connect the streaming server (File > Open URL) to:

  • Euro6IX: mms://6stream-E6.consulintel.euro6ix.net/Live_NGNi_Workshop
  • 6Bone: mms://6stream-6B.consulintel.euro6ix.net/Live_NGNi_Workshop

    4.- Enjoy the sessions.

    (*) You can download the IPv6 stack for Window 2000 from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/sdks/platform/tpipv6.asp if you have Windows 2000 and Servie Pack 1

    If you have installed Internet Explorer 6.0, you must install either tpipv6-001205-SP2-IE6.zip (if you have Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2) or tpipv6-001205-SP3-IE6.zip (if you have Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3).

    Then, follow the information for instalation IPv6 located at http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/sdks/platform/tpipv6/start.asp
